Flying Dust First Nation is a very strong Aboriginal community located just northeast of the town of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. The Flying Dust First Nation administration has spent numerous hours strengthening its programs and services in the areas of education, economic development, health, justice, and self-government. Flying Dust is very dedicated to quality education of its membership especially in the operation of their Kindergarten to Grade 4 school on the reserve. The community embraces partnerships with other organizations for the purpose of establishing new ventures. Other community attributes include an FM radio station, a gravel and logging operation, septic service, community hall, health clinic, and youth center. Flying Dust First Nation is consistently governed by a chief and four councilors who ensure that all services and facilities are designed and maintained to meet the needs of the 1000 band members and to empower them as individuals to reach their full potential.
