Corporate Ventures: MLTC Resource Development Inc.

MLTC Resource Development Inc. is a company that has developed storage sites that accumulate natural gas inventories during low-demand months. These storage sites have been created in depleted potash mines and salt caverns near Saskatoon. These storage sites have been contracted to store natural gas inventories during summer in preparation for winter demand.
The company is a joint venture between MLTC and Trans-Gas which is a wholly owned subsidiary of SaskEnergy, a Crown Corporation of the Saskatchewan Government. The business’s success is due to good management and an always-high demand for natural gas during the winter months.
  • MLTC owns 75% of this joint venture with the province.
  • The gas cavern storage site is located near Prud’homme, SK.
